Here are a few fast ways to lose belly fat. Understand that crunches and jogging aren’t the way to go if you want to reduce your waist size. Getting rid of stomach fat isn’t as hard as it’s made out to be.
Fast Ways to Lose Belly Fat
1. High intensity cardio intervals
If you’re already doing cardio, take whatever exercise you’re doing and do it more intense… but also less intense. The idea is to zig-zag up and down the intensity levels. You don’t want a straight line intensity level. This is called “steady-state” cardio. It’s NO GOOD. Sure, it’s better than nothing, but it’s horribly inefficient for losing weight.
So if you are jogging… instead, run hard and then walk. This works great even if you run hard for 10 seconds and walk the next 50 seconds. Keep repeating that sequence over and over for 15-20 minutes.
You can do this basically with any cardio exercise. The reasoning as to why this is more effective for fat loss is because the high intensity intervals put you in a deep oxygen deficit. Not only does that efficiently burn fat immediately for you, but it also puts your body into an “AFTERBURN” after you’re all done exercising.
What this means is you burn calories and fat at a higher elevated rate for hours and hours AFTER you’re done exercising. So you get a double dose of fat burning. Steady-state cardio doesn’t give you that Afterburn.
2. Do mini-workouts
The idea behind this is that mini-workouts (2-5 minutes) are much more suited to speeding up your metabolism than 1 long workout. For this to work, you need to do multiple mini-workouts each day. At least 20 minutes worth.
Don’t have the time… you say? Uh, if you watch tv, yes you do. Workout during the commercials or even while watching the tv show. You can do jumping jacks, hula hoop, jump on a mini-trampoline, or jump rope. They’re all effective for weight loss and belly fat reducing.
